Established in 2002, Heal Therapy offers compassionate, confidential care to the greater Yreka area. We feature traditional and experiential therapeutic services for MediCal eligible youth and adults. Our professional staff consist of licensed therapists (Psy D, LMFT, & LPCC) and registered clinical interns within each discipline.

Traditional Therapy
We provide traditional therapeutic sessions with a skilled team of Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Marriage & Family Therapist Interns and Associate Social Workers, as regulated by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the California Board of Psychology. These services are available to MediCal eligible youth and adults through our association with Beacon Health Options.

Specific Services
  • Initial intake assessment within the Beacon Health Options MediCal portal. Call our Yreka office at (530) 842-3455 to schedule an appointment.
  • Individual traditional therapy sessions for MediCal eligible youth and adults, through Beacon Health Options, with sessions offered on a weekly basis or as medically necessary.

Experiential "Equine" Programs
In addition to traditional therapy, HealTherapy provides Equine Assisted Experiential Learning. This modality is founded upon the concept of Whole Body Awareness™ as it exists in both horses and humans, in their respective and fundamental natures. The deep insight gained through the use of equines, centers upon the relationship between horse and human, as established through non-verbal communication.

 Specific Services
  • SAFE program Equine-Assisted Experiential Learning. We currently provide after-school groups through Yreka Union School District, at Jackson Street and Evergreen Elementary schools.
  • Community Day & Opportunity school Equine-Assisted Experiential Learning. We provide in-depth Equine Education programs at Jackson St. and Evergreen schools.

These programs are facilitated by certified therapeutic equestrian instructors (CTEI) additionally certified as a specialist in mental health treatment and experiential learning (ESMHL) as licensed through their governing body: Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH Intl.).
