Heal Therapy - Summer 2022

2022 Traditional and Equine Therapeutic Services

During the COVID 19 crisis, Heal Therapy, Inc. modified our comprehensive mental health counseling services to continue our face-to-face sessions at our Yreka offices, following our enhanced safety protocols... as well as to provide Telehealth services for those who prefer a safe, confidential, at-home videophonic option.

Now in 2022, we are back to mainly face-to-face counseling. We continue to monitor subsequent waves of coronavirus... adapting our services as needed. Tele-Health remains an option for those in high risk populations.

We continue to provide these services to MediCal eligable Youth and Adults, as well as to our associated agencies, including Fairchild Medical Clinic, Hornbrook and Montague Elementary School Districts, Yreka Unified High School District and the Karuk Tribe of Northern California... with traditional and experiential therapeutic services.

Equestrian Assisted Experiential Learning

The Heal Therapy Equine Education Groups are designed to bring students, families and horses together in a rich, experiential learning environment. The program utilizes the well established Equine Assisted Learning education model, in a group format. Our equine experiential learning modality is founded upon the concept of Whole Body Awareness™ as it exists in both horses and humans, facilitated through non-verbal communication.

Internship Opportunities

Heal Therapy has partnered with the SOU Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, to provide second year graduate students supervised experience as a counselor-in-training. Our agency provides the 600 hours of internship, as required, with at least 280 hours of paid, direct client contact. Weekly individual supervision and program direction provided by Andrew Reasbeck, LMFT.

The direct counseling portions of our internships are paid positions and will be performed at Yreka High School, under the direct supervision of Andrew Reasbeck, LMFT. Paid positions may also be available for those interested in our equine programs.
